Approved intake capacity of the institution:

Cambridge Institute of Technology has been approved with an intake capacity of 60 students per year each for Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & communication Engineering Courses, 180 students per year for the civil engineering and mechanical engineering courses at UG Level and 18 students per year for the M. Tech Mechanical Engineering course. As far as MBA is concerned, Cambridge Institute of Technology is approved to admit 60 students per year.

Educational requirements:

For B. Tech courses offered by the Cambridge Institute of Technology, candidates with 10+2 with not less than 50% of mark in PCM are eligible to apply.  For lateral entry to the B. Tech courses, candidates with at least 50% of marks in diploma course in respective branch or candidates with B. Sc with mathematics securing minimum 50% of aggregate marks are eligible to apply.

For M. Tech admission, candidates with B.E/B. Tech in industrial engineering/mechatronics/production engineering or mechanical engineering with not less than 60% of aggregate marks are eligible to apply. For MBA admission, candidates with a degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply.

Admission Procedure:

Admissions to B. Tech courses (both lateral and fresh admissions) are done based on Combined Entrance Test conducted by the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Examination Board. Some percentage of seats are also filled with candidates with valid AIEEE score. Selection to M. Tech course will be based on GATE score followed by screening test and interview. Admissions to MBA course will be done through XAT/CAT/MAT score and candidates without any of these scores, will have to take up Combined Entrance Test conducted by the All India Association of Technical & Professional Institutions under the supervision of Government of Jharkhand’s Permanent Committee.

How to apply:

For all admissions, candidates will have to apply in prescribed format available through the application obtained from the office of the institution on payment of Rs.500 in cash. For downloading application, candidates can visit the website of the institutions and should submit the downloaded application form along with DD for Rs.500 drawn in favor of the Cambridge Institute of Technology payable at Ranchi by sending all these through courier to the address of the office.
