Campus placement procedure in HCL
HCL Technologies, one of the fastest growing technology companies conducts recruitment for the available vacancies through campus placements and off campus recruitment drives as well. HCL associates with best colleges including business schools throughout the country to select fresh graduates. Candidates will be informed prior to the campus placement process; hence they can prepare well for the same. Campus placements are conducted through screening tests and interviews. Screening test is designed to measure the candidate’s aptitude and subject knowledge. Candidates can expect questions from technical sections, general intelligence and latest trends in Information Technology. Candidates who have successfully cleared screening test will have to go through technical interview as well as HR interview.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks in engineering degree and 60 % marks in matriculation and higher secondary are eligible to apply. Candidates having backlogs are not eligible to apply. Candidates having 2 years gap between their intermediate studies and engineering admission are not eligible to apply for the selection process. Candidates who have completed their studies in regular/ full time programme are only eligible to apply. Candidates should complete minimum 18 years of age while applying.
Selection Procedure
Selection process is based on screening test, followed by two rounds of interviews. Candidates can expect questions to measure their aptitude ability and technical knowledge in the written test. The duration of the test is 60 minutes. There will be 60 questions to answer. Of these, 10 questions will be asked from numerical ability, 10 questions from logical reasoning, 10 questions from computer basics, and 10 questions based on flow charts. Candidates are required to score 70% marks to clear the cut off. Candidates can download sample question papers from the internet for their preparation.
Candidates who have cleared the written test will be short listed for the interview round. Technical interview is based on what they have studied during their graduation course. Candidates can expect questions from their course curriculum, projects done and current trends in Industry. HR interview consists of questions about the personal character and temperament of the candidate. It focuses on the communication skill and personal qualities of the candidate. Normally the interview lasts for 8 to 10 minutes. Candidates are advised to prepare their resume in the best possible way as it plays a crucial role in the final interview. Candidates require thorough preparation so as to face the interviews.
