Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti was established under the Government of India. The significance of the Navodaya Vidyala System lies in the selection of talented rural children. The samiti is determined to provide quality education to the talented rural children which is quite comparable to the best in a residential school system. The samiti mainly aims to provide good quality modern education including all the important aspects. Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is consist of several Navodaya Vidyalaya. Job Profile:

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is making recruitment of eligible and qualified candidates for filling up the vacant positions of Catering Assistant and Female Staff Nurse. The recruitment for these non teaching posts in Navodaya Vidyala Samiti will be made by the Regional Offices in a time bound manner.

Eligibility:

For both the specified positions i.e. Catering Assistant and Female Staff Nurse, the prescribed minimum age limit is 18 years and the prescribed maximum age limit is 35 years. Candidates having age less than 18 years and more than 35 years are not eligible for the post. Uneleigible candidates are advised to not to apply for the posts as their application will be cancelled stratightaway by the responsible authorities or Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

Educational Qualification:

Catering Assistant: Candidates must have passed Secondary School or Xth class from a recognized board. Candidates should also possess atleast three years Diploma in Catering or equivalent from an institution recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. Candidates, who have done Senior Secondary from CBSE with Hotel Management and Catering as Vocational subject, are also eligible to apply for the post.

Female Staff Nurse: Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary Examination or equivalent with three years ‘A’ Grade Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution is required for applying for the post. Candidates, who have done B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized university are also eligible to apply for the speicifed post.

Catering Assistant: Only 10 posts are available.
Female Staff Nurse: Only 8 posts are available.

Pay Scale:

Catering Assistant: Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 2400.
Female Staff Nurse: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4600.

Selection Process:

The final decision on the selection of the eligible candidates on the speicified position, will be made only after the analysis of their performance in the personal interview test. Candidates should prepare well for facing the personal interview test with the selection committee.
