Charotar Institute of Nursing was established by the Charotar University of Science & Technology in the year 2009 with an intake capacity of 40 students for the nursing course.

The main objective with which the institution was set up was to meet the need for nurses at different hospitals not only at the state level, but also at the national level.

Course Details:

The institute is offering Bachelor of Science in nursing course, which includes basic subjects like biochemistry, microbiology, human physiology and human anatomy.

The course offers exposure to the students for community health nursing, psychiatric nursing, pediatric nursing, maternal nursing, geriatric nursing and medical-surgical nursing. In addition, the course enables the students to develop their understanding, knowledge and skill in the field of education, administration and research.

Eligibility Criteria:

For getting into the B. Sc Nursing course offered by CIN, candidates must have completed their higher secondary examination in science stream with a minimum aggregate of 45% of marks in English, biology, chemistry and physics (40% in the case of SC/ST and SEBC candidates).

Admission Procedure:

Students satisfying the mark requirement should appear for the GUJCET examination and students with good percentage of marks in this examination will be considered for admission.

Of the total number of seats, 75% of the seats will be filled by the central admission committee for professional medical education courses based on the performance of the students in the GUJCET and 25% of the seats will be filled through management quota. Of this 25% management seats, 15% of the seats are meant for NRI students.

Career Services offered:

The institute feels that it is essential to prepare the students for job market and due to this, a training & placement cell has been set up to enable the students to find the right job. This cell conducts resume writing seminars, mock interview, job fairs and career counseling to the students.
