Chennai Mathematical Institute is involved in high quality teaching and research in the field of mathematical sciences. It was founded by SPIC Science foundation in 1989. This institute got the autonomous status from 1996 onwards. The SPIC organization is managed by a council of efficient personals. This institute conducts research in the areas such as Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science. Apart from offering Ph.D courses it also offers various graduate and post graduate courses.

Structure of Chennai Mathematical Institute MSc/PhD Computer Science Entrance Exam

The Chennai Mathematical Institute MSc/PhD Computer Science Entrance Exam is of three hours duration and of the maximum marks is 100 . The question paper consists of two parts; Part A and Part B. The first part comprises of 13 questions of 4 marks each. There will be a total of seven questions in part B but the candidate needs to answer any 6 questions. Each of the questions in part B carries 8 marks.

How to Apply?

The aspirants can download the application form as well as the procedure for filling the application from the website of Chennai Mathematical Institute. The M.Sc/Ph.D entrance examination is conducted across the country in the last week of May.

How to fill the Form?

The candidate has to put a tick mark against the Ph.D course that he/she wishes to pursue. They have to fill the full name and address in the space provided for the same. Affix a recent colour photograph in the provided space.

Study Plan

Plan Ahead: Candidates have to start reviewing the notes that they have already taken down. Make a special note of the important points. Keep the question papers of all the test and quizzes for future reference. Thus you can easily find out where you have gone wrong. Don’t procrastinate, create a study schedule with sufficient breaks in between and stick on to it.

Set up your Study Space: Each one of them approaches the studies differently. Some of them need absolute silence where as others like to study with music in the surroundings. In both ways the candidate has to take care of certain things minimize the distractions. Switch off the mobile phones while you study. Give priority to your studies.

Study, Study: Candidates have to ask questions as “how” and “why” while reviewing. Create flash cards for definitions and important names.
