Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have successfully completed their M.Sc, B.Tech, MCA or B.E from a recognized University are eligible to apply for the M.Sc / Ph.D entrance exam. Those in the final year of qualifying examination may also apply provided they have to satisfy all the norms at the time of admission.

How to Apply?

The aspirants can obtain the application form along with the information bulletin of the entrance exam from various concerned counters of the Institute. It can also be downloaded from the official website of the Institute http://www.cmi.ac.in. The completed application form along with the required documents have to be sent to the Chennai Mathematical Institute, Plot H1, SIPCOT IT Park, Padur P.O, Siruseri - 603103, India on or before the cut off date.

How to fill the Form?

The candidates have to be very careful while filling in the form. All the columns have to be filled up giving the exact information. Tick mark has to be provided against the M.Sc / Ph.D course that one wishes to pursue. Full name and address have to be given in the place provided. Stick a recent color photograph in the space granted for the same. After filling the entire form, the candidates have to recheck whether the details furnished are correct and also whether any column is left blank. If so make necessary changes. After which the completed form along with all the required enclosures have to be sent to the concerned address. The candidates should also make it sure that the send item will reach the destination before the deadline.
