Government Women’s College of Engineering, Ajmer offers Bachelor of Technology courses in subjects such as Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Computer Engineering. Apart from these, the institute offers two post graduation courses, MBA and MCA. The institute considers national level entrance exams such as AIEEE/ RPET for admission to under graduate courses. Admission to MBA and MCA courses is carried out on the basis of scores obtained in MAT/ RMAT and RMACAAT respectively.

Admission procedure in Government Women’s College of Engineering

Admission to Under Graduate Courses

Candidates who have qualified XII class from a recognized board are eligible to apply for Bachelor of Engineering courses. They should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in qualifying exam. The institution carries out admission through the scores obtained in national level entrance exams such as All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE), Rajasthan Pre Entrance Test for Engineering, (RPET).

There will be objective type questions in RPET. Exam pattern is similar to that of AIEEE. Candidates can expect questions from Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Bio-technology and Computer Science. There will be a maximum of 120 questions. Each question carries one mark. Maximum time allotted for the entire test is three hours. Medium of instructions will be in Hindi as well as in English language.

Candidates will be short listed for personal interview conducted by the department concerned as per their rankings in entrance exam. Final selection will be on the basis of performance of candidates in personal interview and submission of relevant documents.

Admission to Post Graduate Courses

Bachelor of Business Administration or graduation in any discipline is the basic educational qualification required for admission to Master of Business Administration programme. Admissions are done on the basis of candidate’s performance in national level entrance exams such as Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or Rajasthan Management Aptitude Test (RMAT). Minimum qualification required for Master of Computer Applications is Bachelors degree in Computer Applications or in any other discipline from any institute recognized by UGC. Admission to MCA programme is carried out on the basis of the scores obtained in State level entrance exam, Rajasthan MCA Admission Test (RMACAAT).

Candidates can expect objective type questions in RMACAAT. Most of the questions will be asked from the topics prescribed for Bachelor of Science in computer Science/ Computer Applications. Final selection is on the basis of performance in personal interview conducted by the institute.
