Rajasthan Public Service Commission was incorporated as a premier commission of the Government of Rajasthan. The commission is responsible for organizing or conducting recruitments exams for the posts of officers in various departments of the Government of India. The office of the commission is located at Jaipur Road, Ajmer. The commission actually came into existence on August 16, 1949. The commission actually started off with the strength of one Chairman and two other members. S. K. Ghosh was appointed as the first chairman of the commission.

Job Profile:

Rajasthan Public Service Commission is going to conduct Competitive written examination followed by Interview test for making recruitment on the following positions of Curator of Museum, Probation & Prison Welfare Officer, District Probation cum Social Welfare Officer and Nursing Tutor in different ministeries or office under Government of Rajasthan.

1. Recruitment of Curator of Museum:
No. of posts: 5 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candiates should be in between 21 to 37 years of age as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Graduation degree in History or concered discipline with atleast 55% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

2. Recruitment of Probation & Prison Welfare Officer:
No. of posts: 23 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candiates should be in between 21 to 32 years of age as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess M.A. degree in Political Science or Social Science from a recognized university of India.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3600.

3. Recruitment of District Probation cum Social Welfare Officer:
No. of posts: 7 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candiates should be in between 21 to 32 years of age as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess M.A. degree in Political Science or Social Science with atleast 55% marks in aggregate.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.

4. Recruitment of Nursing Tutor:
No. of posts: 61 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candiates should be in between 16 to 35 years of age as on 1 January 2012.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Secondary education or equivalent with Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized institute.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 3600.

Application Fee:

Candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 250 (General candidates only) for applying on any of the above mentioned positions. Candidates belonging to OBC categories of non creamy layer, should submit an application fee of Rs. 150 only. Rs. 50 is the amount of application fee that is need to be submitted by the candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.

Selection Process:

Selection of eligible or best suitable candidates will be made through the conduct of a Written Examination followed by a Personal Interview Test with Selection Committee.
