Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Himachal Pradesh offers B.Tech courses in various streams. Admission is based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or the AIEEE examination.

B.Tech courses in Jaypee University

Jaypee University offers the following Bachelor of Technology courses:

  • Bachelor of Technology in Bioinformatics (BI)
  • Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology (BT)
  • Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering (CE)
  • Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
  • Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE)
  • Bachelor of Technology in Information and Communication Technology (ICT)

Admission procedure

Admission to the various B.Tech courses offered by JUIT is purely based on merit. The merit list is prepared according to the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) score.

Candidates should have completed 10+2 or an equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects. Candidates seeking admission to Biotechnology and Bioinformatics should have completed 10+2 with Biology/Biotechnology and Physics as the main subjects.

Candidates with a minimum of 50 % marks in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply. Candidates should also have a good score in the AIEEE examination. The lower age limit to apply for the B.Tech programme is 17 years.

The application forms can be obtained by post or from branches of selected banks. The list of banks can be accessed from the JUIT official website. Candidates also have the option of applying online.

The application fee for this exam is Rs 900. Candidates who are applying online and procuring forms through post are required to draw a demand draft in favour of Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, payable at Noida or Delhi. Over- the -counter application forms can be obtained by paying Rs 900. Candidates also have the option of making use of Internet Banking facilities for applying.

Duly filled in application forms can be sent to the specified address. Candidates are required to specify the AIEEE roll number in the application form. Those who have applied online are also required to send the print out of the online application. Those candidates who have applied online and have availed the Internet Banking facility should write “Online Registration- Internet Banking” on the envelope.

Candidates applying for B.Tech in Biotechnology and B.Tech in Bioinformatics have separate application forms which can be obtained only through post. 50% seats for these courses will be filled based on the marks secured in the qualifying examination. Separate application forms are required to be filled for such admissions.

The merit list will published online. Students included whose name figures in the merit list are required to attend the counseling section.
