National Institute of Industrial Training (NITIE) offers PG diploma courses in subjects of Industrial Engineering, Industrial Management, Information Technology Management, and Industrial Safety and Environmental Management. Graduates in Engineering/Technology are eligible for seeking admission to any of these courses. Admission to PGDIE is done on the basis of GATE score where as that for other courses on the basis of CAT.

Admission Procedure for PGDIE in NITIE

Graduates in Engineering/Technology are eligible for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering (PGDIE). Eligible candidates should have first class marks. SC/ST/PD candidates are given with 5% concession in marks. Students can seek admission on the basis of GATE score. Short listed candidates on the basis of GATE should undergo the sessions of Group Discussion (GD) and interview. No GATE score is mandatory for industry sponsored candidates.

Applications for pursuing NITIE can be submitted through online mode. Application fee is Rs.1000/- for open category candidates and Rs.500/- for reserved category candidates. It must be paid through any of the branches of the State Bank of India. Print out of the submitted application form must be sent to the address of ‘The Deputy/ Assistant Registrar’ before last date.

Admission Procedure for PGDIM/PGDISEM/PGDITM

Applicants must be graduates in engineering/technology with at least 60% marks or equivalent. Concession of 5% marks is given for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PD category. They must hold a valid score in the Common Admission Test (CAT) carried out by IIM. Registration for each programme (PGDIM/ PGDISEM/ PGDITM) must be done separately. Final year students with the required educational qualification can also apply. Such students must complete their examination/viva voce before the commencement of the course. They must submit the final year mark sheet and provisional certificate after three months of joining the course. Work experience (if applicable) must be obtained after completing graduation. Reserved category candidates like SC/ST/PD and OBC (Non-Creamy) must submit documents proving the same to enjoy relaxations offered under the same.

Application fee in this case is also Rs.1000/-. In case of SC/ST/PD candidates, application fee is Rs.500/-. This should be deposited in any of the branches of SBI. Printed copy of the application form along with photocopy of CAT score card must be sent to the address of NITIE before last date.
