Jewellery Design & Technology is a course of designing various jewelries, accessories, and other objects of design so that the status and the modern statement of the client are reflected. Eligibility

A candidate is considered eligible for diploma in library science if he or she has secondary school leaving certificate or passed higher secondary examination from any recognized board. An admission test is held for the admission of the student in the course by some institutes but it is generally merit based dependent on the marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

Course Outlook

Diploma in Jewellery Design & Technology is a 1 year course that trains the student on various aspects of gem and jewelry and gives them training on construction of jewelries and latest development that are occurring in the field of jewelries. Hence In this course duration students are evaluated on the basis of practical examination as well as theoretical examination held every six months and provided with training at the end of the session.

Job prospects

The diploma holders in jewelry design and technology are generally appointed by the jewelry workshops. They are also employed in sectors like jewelry, accessories and other consumer goods. There is scope of self employment. Income is accordance to skill and experience.
