It is the diploma of rail transport &management, a government of India organization, New Delhi and recognized by railway boards. Today the railway is the only monopolistic organization in India where there is no competition. Thus, there are numerous demands for the course as well as there are a lot of jobs for those who are aspiring to pursue diploma in rail transport & management.
Eligibility
The diploma course is open to the final year students of diploma in engineering or those who have recently completed their course with a minimum age requirement of 21 years. The aspirants must sit for the railway recruitment board (RRB) examination based on the marks of which students are admitted.
Course outlook
The course duration of diploma in rail transport & management is one year, Various railway recruitment board have granted it as a most desirable additional criteria for recruitment in various categories of posts in railway. The course contains main subjects which are transport economics, management concepts, material management, operating management, commercial management.
Job prospects
Indian railway employs a major section of population if the figures are to be analyzed during 1950-51, it employed 9.14 lakhs which increased to 16.54 lakhs in 1991-92 and the figures are still increasing exponentially. Moreover staffs are provided with quite a lot of perks and allowances .along with the free travel across India. It also provides accommodation freely and are also entitled for free pension and medical aid.
