Life Insurance Corporation of India, shortly called as LIC came into existence in the year 1956. The corporation offers a wide range of schemes for different category of people like insurance for women and different types of schemes like medical and non-medical schemes.

Recruitment by LIC:

LIC of India is planning to engage Direct Sales Executives for its different offices purely on contract basis under the jurisdiction of Bhopal Zonal Office. Selected candidates will have to undergo theoretical training and should pass IRDA licensing examination to procure life insurance business within three months. Period of Contract: Three years

Remuneration: candidates appointed for the position of Direct Sales Executives will be paid on performance basis.

Eligibility Conditions:

Education: Candidates must be UG degree holders in any discipline from an Indian university and preference will be given to candidates with diploma or UG Degree in management/marketing. They should possess good working knowledge of English and one regional language. Knowledge of soft skills like excel/word/power point would be additional advantage.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of candidates will be based on written test (if necessary), followed by interview. For details regarding syllabus and venue of written test, visit http://www.licindia.in/pages/CZ_2011.pdf. Candidates succeeding in the written test will only be called for interview.

Cost of Application:

The application fee is Rs.100 (other than SC/ST candidates) should be paid by cash at any cash counter during cash hours in any branch offices of LIC under Account Code 114034. On payment of fee, candidates will get a miscellaneous receipt, which should be produced at the time of written test. Fee can be paid from 29th August 2011 until 19th of September 2011.

Candidates will have to apply online only through the website of LIC under the heading careers at http://www.licindia.in/careers.htm between 29th August and 20th of September 2011. No other means of application will be entertained.
