Life Insurance Corporation of India, which came into existence in the year 1956 is one of the largest state-owned life insurance company in India and it is fully-owned by the Government of India. The corporation has 8 zonal offices and around 3500 serving offices in different towns and cities in different states in India.

Recruitment by LIC:

LIC of India is planning to engage Direct Sales Executives for its different offices purely on contract basis under the jurisdiction of Eastern Zonal Office. Details regarding the notification issued by LIC in this respect are given below:

Name of the Vacancies: Direct Sales Executives for Eastern Zone

Number of positions: Total number of vacancies 600 and this is grouped under the categories as follows:

• Bardhaman– 150

• Bongaigaon – 150

• Jorhat – 150

• Silchar– 150

Period of Contract: Three years

Remuneration: Candidates appointed for the position of Direct Sales Executives will be paid on performance basis.

Eligibility Conditions:

Education: Candidates must be UG degree holders in any discipline from an Indian university and preference will be given to candidates with diploma or UG Degree in management/marketing. They should possess good working knowledge of English and one regional language. Knowledge of soft skills like excel/word/power point would be additional advantage.

Selection Procedure:

Cost of Application:

The application fee is Rs.100 (other than SC/ST candidates) should be paid by cash at any cash counter during cash hours in any branch offices of LIC under Account Code 114034. On payment of fee, candidates will get a miscellaneous receipt, which should be produced at the time of written test. Fee can be paid from 29th August 2011 until 19th of September 2011.
