Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education conducts entrance exam every year for the admittance of the eligible candidates to its Hotel Management and Catering Technology programme. Some of the details regarding DTE HMCT are mentioned below.

Structure of Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra Hotel Management and Catering Technology Entrance Exam

The entrance exam will consist of 100 objective type multiple choice questions that has to be answered within 120 minutes. The test is mainly to test the aptitude of the candidate in Hotel Management and Catering Technology. There will also be questions from English language, reasoning, logical assumption, common awareness and current affairs.

Eligibility Criteria

The aspirants should have completed their higher secondary education from any recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50% (45% for backward community candidates) in Science / Home Science / MCVC / Commerce / Arts with English as one of the compulsory subjects.

How to Apply?

The application form along with information brochure are available from the designated centres directly by cash payment of Rs. 700/- (Rs. 500/- for backward community candidates from Maharashtra state) in the form of demand draft. The application can also be filled and confirmed online from the website www.dte.org.in/hmct after which the printout of the application form along with DD has to be send to the concerned address. Application form can also be received via post for which a request letter accompanied with DD has to be sent.

How to fill the Form?

The information brochure contains all the necessary information regarding the filling up of form. The applicants have to thoroughly read the brochure before filling the form. The candidates should take at most care while filling. The instructions are also available in the official website. The duly filled form along with the required enclosures has to be send before the due date.
