Dr. B.C. Roy Engineering College shortly called as BCREC was established in the year 2000 on the 21st of August and from the beginning till the year 2001, the college was affiliated to Burdwan University and from the year 2001, it got affiliation from West Bengal University of Technology. The college is approved by the department of higher education of West Bengal State, Department of Higher Education and AICTE.

Eligibility for PG Courses:
As far as M. Tech courses are concerned, candidates must have completed their AMIE/B. Tech/B.E or equivalent degree with EE/EIE/ECE with communication as specialization for first branch mentioned above or first class in M. Sc in electronics from an approved university/institution. For MBA admission, candidates must have completed their 10+2+3 and students in the final year of their degree course can also apply. Preference will be given to B.E/B. Tech students. For MCA admission, candidates must have studied mathematics as a subject at their 10+2+3 can apply.
Selection Procedure for PG Courses:
For M. Tech courses, candidates with valid GATE score will be given preference. Even, candidates without GATE score can apply. But, these candidates will have to attend the entrance examination conducted by the college. For MCA course, candidates must attend the JECA known as Joint Entrance Examination for MCA conducted by West Bengal government. For MBA, candidates must qualify in JEMAT/MAT examination.

I intend to join the course in power system engg(m. tech)in your institution in the ensuing session.Right now I am working as a TPO of an engineering college in West Bengal.Can it be allowed to attend one day in a week for 2 year m.tech course? College authority allows me to release only one day in a week in pursuing that course.
