DU LLB/LLM 2012
Delhi University is one of the prominent institutes in the country and they carry out various entrance exams for eth different courses offered by DU. The DU LLB/LLM is one of eth popular Law entrance exams carried out in the country every year for the law aspirants. Through LLB/LLM entrance exam, the candidates can join to the three year LLB or the two year LLM course. It is a national based entrance Exam and hence a large number of legal aspirants are taking this exam.
Structure and Syllabus of DU LLB/LLM
The DU LLB entrance paper consists of 175 questions in the multiple choice objective mode. The question include the areas of,

- General Knowledge
- General Science
- Language Ability
- Legal Reasoning
- Social Studies
DU LLM Entrance Exam also consists of 175 questions in the objective type mode. The question covers the areas of.
- Public International Law (Law of Peace)
- Law of Torts
- Law of Contracts (General Principles)
- Jurisprudence
- Family Law of Marriage & Divorce
- Environmental Law
- Criminal Law
- Constitutional Law of India
Both Exam carries negative marking for the wrong answers and the duration of the exam is 120 minutes.
Eligibility Criteria of DU LLB/LLM
LLB
A graduate or Post graduate with minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination. The candidates with graduation in any streams from the recognized university are eligible to apply. The eligible category will get the needed consideration.
LLM
A LLB candidate (5 years/3years) with 50% marks in the qualifying examination under the recognized legal body in India is eligible to apply for the stream.
The final year aspirants are also eligible to apply for the exam. The exam is opened for all Indian Citizens and generally the reservation category receives a consideration of 5% in marks.
How to Apply?
The candidates can get the application form from the DU admission office along with the information bulletin. They have to submit a bank draft of Rs.700 (Rs.250 for SC/ST) /- for getting the application form. The candidates can also get the application form by sending a request to the admission committee of DU along with the DD of Rs.750/- before the deadline.
The offline aspirants can download the application form from the official website www.du.ac.in .
How to fill the Form?
The candidates must read the instructions carefully before filling the form. They must understand the requirements and give only the valid in formation in the necessary columns. You can fill the form with Pen/pencil whatever required. Do not make any mistakes while filling the form. You can take the photocopy of the form and fill it first so as to eliminate mistakes.
Cross check before sending to the concerned body. Make sure you are attached every needed documents with the application forma and the completely filled application form should reach the admission office of DU before the last date. The candidates are asked to attach a self addressed envelop with the application form for the acknowledgment requirements.

Study Plan
The aspirants should have a well structured study plan so as to make their entry into one of the most demanding universities in the country. The LLB aspirants are evaluated on the basis of their aptitude skills and hence they have to prepare well in these sections. There are many reference books are there for the Graduate aspirants of law.
They can include these in the study material and also the previous year questions will be a great use. For the LLM aspirants they should have a sound knowledge in the legal concepts and in the practices. They can refer their graduate level test for preparing the examination. The coaching centers and the reference materials are also helpful.
How and Where To Get the Results?
The results are available in the Delhi university official website, http://www.du.ac.in/. After the announcement f the result the students can visit the site for the individual result.
Cutoff
The cutoff varies in each year and normally the DU put very high cutoff for its admission process. The cutoff can range from 75-90%.
Score Validity
The score will valid for the present academic period only, that is the score of the test valid for one year.
