Jaipur offers a wide range of engineering colleges that are offering education in a highly disciplined way through excellent and well-qualified faculty members. The eligibility requirement for pursuing engineering courses in the city is completion of higher secondary or equivalent examination with mathematics, chemistry and physics subjects. Even though, the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination required for seeking admission to engineering colleges in Jaipur differs from one college to another, an average of not less than 50% of aggregate marks is needed in the higher secondary course. Duration of engineering courses in Jaipur is four years like any other part of the country.
Admission Procedure in Jaipur Engineering Colleges:
Engineering Colleges in the city of Jaipur admits students to the engineering courses based on the merit secured by the candidates in the RPET examination, which is a common entrance examination in the state of Rajasthan for admission of students to engineering, pharmacy and architecture courses. RPET examination is conducted by the Board of Technical Education of the state of Rajasthan. However, some percentage of seats in engineering colleges in Jaipur is filled based on AIEEE score, which is meant for candidates belonging to other states, while RPET score is for candidates belonging to the state of Rajasthan.
