The state of West Bengal has 18 universities among which the University of Calcutta is the oldest and largest public universities in the nation. The university has more than 200 affiliated colleges under its control. In addition to normal university like Calcutta University, the state also acts as the home for technical universities like Jadavpur University, West Bengal University of Technology and Bengal Engineering & Science University.

The state also has many institution that are recognized by the Indian Government has ‘Institute of national importance’ and a wide range of courses are offered by these institutions. Technical education colleges in the district are affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology. Among the technical education institution in the state, some offer BBA course, while this course is also offered by some arts, science and commerce colleges as well.

Eligibility requirement for getting into BCA course in West Bengal:

For getting into the BCA course offered by West Bengal colleges, candidates must have completed their higher secondary from an institution recognized by the higher education board of the state of West Bengal or even candidates with equivalent qualification from any other state are eligible to apply. However, candidates belonging to other states will have to submit no objection certificate from the university to which the institution is affiliated.
