Ph.D (Commerce) entrance exam in Sardar Patel University (SPU) includes – objective type, short answer type and long answer type questions. The entrance exam is conducted for a total of 100 marks and must be completed within a time duration of 3 hours. The syllabus of this entrance exam covers topics such as Business Environment, Financial and Management Accounting, Business Economics, Business Statistics and Data Processing, Business Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Human Resource Management and Banking and Financial Institution.

Exam Pattern for PhD (Commerce) Entrance Exam in SPU

The PhD (Commerce) entrance exam is conducted for a total of 100 marks which needs to be completed within a time limit of 3 hours. The format of PhD (Commerce) entrance exam consist of the following sections –

  • Section 1 – This section includes objective model questions covering the General Knowledge subject area. The total marks allotted for this section is 10 marks.
  • Section 2 – Objective type questions – Total marks – 40 marks
  • Section 3 – Short Answer type questions – Total marks -25 marks (This section comprise of a total of 5 short answer type questions from the specific subject area).
  • Section 4 – Long Answer type questions – Total marks – 25 marks (Long Answer type questions with or with out sub questions on the specific subject area).
