Fee structure of Bachelor of Nursing Science
B. Sc Nursing is a course of duration of three years. Nursing duties cover a wide range of skills like bedside care of patients, managing psychiatric, geriatric, intensive care and paediatric patients etc. Nursing duties also involve fields of administration and record keeping.
Indian nurses are in huge demand, both in India and abroad. They have made quite a name for themselves with their extraordinary skills and determination. B. Sc nursing therefore provides great future prospects. One can join any health sector, after completing B. Sc like government hospitals, nursing homes, military, public sector medical departments etc. Higher studies like the M. Sc nursing can also be pursued.
Both government and private institutions provide B. Sc in nursing. The total amount of fees to be paid in private institutions is comparatively more than the government institutions.
The stipulated course fee, by Indian Nursing Council, for B. Sc nursing is Rs. 50,000. For any one year specialty or diploma course like critical care nursing, oncology nursing, cardio-thoracic nursing and disaster nursing etc. is Rs. 25,000. However, the total course fee for B. Sc nursing can vary from Rs.60,000 to Rs.2,00,000 per year, depending upon the concerned institution. The total course fee usually includes admission charges, tuition fee, examination fee, hostel fee and caution fee.
However, in government colleges fee relaxation is provided to the economically backward students. The SC, ST and OBC students can also avail fee relaxation for which they have to apply to the college office as soon as possible. Scholarship examinations are held nationwide. Students qualifying these exams can avail a scholarship too. The Ministry of Education has recently made provision for more scholarships for students pursuing B. Sc. in nursing.
Thus, B. Sc nursing is a great career option for anyone who wants to make a difference.
