I am studying Diploma in Engineering and I want to know that I can get admission in 3rd year of B.Tech course by giving Diploma CET? Please let me know as soon as possible.

No, you cannot get admission in third year of B. Tech course through Diploma CET examination. Candidates who completed three years Diploma course and those who appeared and qualified Diploma CET examination are eligible to get direct admission in second year of four years B. Tech course but, not in third year of B. Tech course.

After completion of diploma degree, you can apply for B.tech course through Lateral Entry exam. But you are not eligible to get admission in 3rd years. You can get admission in 2nd year of B.Tech course.

Eligibility criteria for Lateral entry exam:-

(i)Passed diploma course in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy with above 60% marks.

(ii)Passed Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject with above 60% marks.

(iii)Your age should above 18 years.

SBTET can pass the notification that we promote lateral entry in 3rd year b.tech after diploma as per c14?
