Here is the program structure for Diploma in Herbal Technology at Rajiv Gandhi Government College.
It is a 3 years course consist of 6 semester.
Sem 1: Communication Skill, Mathematics, Anatomy & Physiology, Physics, Chemistry, Introduction to Herbal Technology, NCC/NSS.
Sem 2: Communication Skill, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Environmental Education, Basic Soil Chemistry, Introduction to Information Technology, NCC/NSS.
Sem 3: Chemistry, Soft Core 1, Soft Core 2, Cultivation of Medicinal Plants, Processing Equipment & Machinery, Process Technology.
Sem 4: Analytic Chemistry, Phytochemistry, Bio Pharmaceutics, Fertilizer, Manures & Plant Protection Measures, Clinical Assessment of herbal formulation, Pharmacognosis.
After 5th semester there will be an Industrial Training program for all students for a duration of not less than five weeks. This training program is compulsory for all the students otherwise they’ll not be able to take admission for 5th semester.
Sem 5: Drugs & Cosmetic Laws, Formulation Development, Plant Toxicology, Pharmacology, Quality control of herbal formulation, Manufacturing of herbal formulation.
Sem 6: Entrepreneurship Development, Pharmacokinetics, Biotechnology, Elective, Seminar, Project.
