Most of the students prefer only Engineering and Technology courses after completing a Diploma. Since, that you are interested in B. Tech. You can apply for Engineering (or) You can apply for Short term course related to your specialization. For example, If you belong to the computer science stream student then you can apply for the short term courses like,

-Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)
-Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
-Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
-REDHAT,
-Linux etc..

This are all provide good job career opportunity equal to Engineering Graduate.
