Eligibility to study Electronics Engineering Diploma course for ITI holder?


Sir/Madam, I am an ITI holder. I have completed my ITI in Fitter. Now, I really want to study in Diploma course. I want to study Electronics in Diploma. I would like to know if I am eligible or not?

Yes, you are eligible to study Diploma in Electronics Engineering course after completion of your ITI course. Candidates who have passed two years ITI course or 12th standard with Vocational Science stream are eligible to get direct admission in second year of Diploma in Electrical Engineering course through lateral entry admission process. You have to appear in lateral entry examinations like VOCLET, etc., which is conducted by your respective state technical board of education for getting admission in Diploma in Electrical Engineering course.

Candidates who have passed 10th + 2 year ITI Certificate Examination are eligible to apply for the Diploma in Electronics Engineering in various polytechnic colleges. They have to clear the lateral entry entrance examination for the admission to study Diploma course. Selected students are admitted directly to the second year of the three year diploma course. You can apply for any polytechnic entrance exam based on your ITI diploma. You will be eligible for lateral entry admission in 2nd year through the entrance exam.

Just appear for the polytechnic entrance exam of your respective state and be prepared for the entrance exam.
