I am a diploma holder in mechanical engineering with 78% marks in aggregate. And i want to get lateral entry in NIT for b.tech in 2nd year. How to get lateral entry admission there?

No, it is not possible to get lateral entry admission in NIT after completion of your Diploma course. NIT's does not offer lateral entry admissions. Admissions in NIT are offered to first year of Engineering through JEE Main examination counselling process. You can get admission in IIT through JEE Advanced examination or in any other engineering colleges through LEET examination.

Sorry, to say that you cannot get lateral entry admission in NIT being a Diploma holder in Mechanical Engineering. Admissions in NIT are offered only to candidates who have completed 12th standard with Non-Medical Science stream from a recognised board and those who have appeared, qualified and secured good rank in JEE Main examination rank. You can get lateral entry admission in most of the top engineering colleges through lateral entry examinations like LEET, JELET, ECET, etc.,. except in NIT's and IIT's.

What is producer for later entry in NIT for diploma in ECE through CITU, Hyderabad, if not, please suggest to go for good college in Hyderabad or Chennai
