Hello sir, I am studying Diploma in Lather Technology from AMU and after completion of it I want to take admission in B.Tech through lateral entry at AMU. Minimum marks required in Diploma to get admission in B.Tech?

The candidate needs to clear AMU B.Tech Entrance Exam (AMUEEE) to get admission for B.Tech at AMU.

Eligibility criteria to get admission in B.Tech at AMU :-

-The candidate should possess a SSSC (Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination) Certificate or a certificate for Senior Secondary Examinations from any recognized board by the Government of India.

-The candidate must have passed the qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English with 50% marks in aggregate or Diploma in Engineering from A.M.U. with an aggregate of 50% marks.

After the diploma, if you want to get into Engineering then there is a special examination for the diploma fellows named LEET.

If you qualify in the Test then you will be allotted a seat in the engineering college based on the rank in the examination and your diploma percentage.

You will be given the admission in directly in the 2nd year of engineering.

As far as the matter of the cut off marks, you are advised to attend the counseling for the same as no one can determine the actual cutoff marks or rank before the result comes out.

it solely depends upon the following factors :

* The demand of the course.
* The number of seats available.
* The number of applications came for the course.

So, you will know it once you attend the counseling.

For lateral entry exam you need at least 50% marks in diploma from a recognized institute or university. Admission will be based on the performance in entrance exam.
Hence, if you have at least 50% marks then surely you will be eligible for lateral entry admission through entrance exam.

Sorry, to say that AMU does not B.Tech course in Leather Technology. The list of B.Tech courses offered by AMU is mentioned below :-

Computer Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Petrochemical Engineering
Civil Engineering
Chemical Engineering

To be eligible to get admission in any of the above mentioned B.Tech courses, the candidate should have passed Diploma in Engineering course with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university.

To study B.Tech after the completion of Diploma course, candidates must have scored a minimum of 50% of marks in Diploma course to get lateral entry to B.Tech course.
Admission will be based on the performance of the Entrance Examination conducted by he respective University or State Council.
