Re: Possibility to get Lateral Entry in B.Tech at IIT for Diploma Engineer?
No, it is not possible to get Lateral Entry admission in IIT after completion of your three years Diploma course in Marine Engineering. IIT's does not offers Lateral Entry admission in B.Tech course. Admissions in B.Tech course in IIT are offered only to candidates who have completed 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board and those who have appeared, qualified and secured good rank in JEE Main and Advanced examinations. Being a Diploma holder, you are not eligible to appear in JEE Main and Advanced examinations, so, that you cannot get admission in B.Tech course in IIT.
