Re: Process of admission in NIT Course after Diploma in Metallurgy?
The diploma course will not be considered for NIT admission. They admit through JEE entrance exam. The eligibility for the examination is +2 pass with 50% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics. So if you done your diploma after 12th means you can use the +2 marks and appear for the examination conducted for the admission of NIT.

NITs and IITs doesn't offer lateral entry admission. Only 10+2 passed candidates can apply for admission in B.Tech first year from NIT and IIT.
If you are a diploma holder then you need to appear for lateral entry exam for admission in B.Tech 2nd year. Only limited colleges offer this kind of admission in India. |

Re: Process of admission in NIT Course after Diploma in Metallurgy?
I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for admission in NIT course after having completed your Diploma in Metallurgy as the minimum educational qualification required in order to join NIT is that the candidate should have completed his/her 12th standard with a minimum of 60% and after that you need to appear for JEE(Main) examination and after having scored quite well in the examination, you shall most probably get admission NIT for further studies.

Re: Process of admission in NIT Course after Diploma in Metallurgy?
Actually one who have done Diploma cannot get seat in NIT.
Because to get admission in NIT candidate must have completed his/her 12th standard with Mathematics,Physics and Chemistry as their main subjects. As you done your Diploma which is different from 12th standard so you are not eligible for NIT. But you don't worry because you can complete your graduation in the University/college in your state which is offering the graduation course through Lateral Entry, for this you have appear for the entrance test conducted by your State Education Board. If you not interested in B.Tech course then also you can go for other degree courses like B.Com, B.A., B.Sc etc., |
