Yes, you are eligible to join BCA programme with a Diploma or Polytechnic degree. But you must ensure that you have a minimum 50% in your Diploma course.

There are number of opportunities available for a Diploma holder depending on which field you have pursued your Diploma.

If you are from Civil Engineering stream then you can apply for:
-Irrigation department
-Roads and buildings
-Railways
-Water supply
-Survey, Drawing
-Contractors in companies like Indian Railways, DLF, Unitech, Jaypee associates, GMR Infra, PSUs, etc.

If you are from Electronics and Communication stream then you can apply for different sectors such as:
-Communications
-Electronic industries
-Dooradarsan
-TV servicing and Sales in companies like Accenture, Bharati Airtel, Reliance communications, Idea cellular etc.

If you are from Computer Engineering stream then you can apply for different sectors such as:
-Computer maintenance
-Software development
-Computer training
