Can I get stipend to do Ph.D in English from Jawaharlal Nehru University? What should I do for it?


Hello sir, I have complete MA in English and M.Ed in English. I want to do Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University. Can I get any type of stipend to do Ph.D? What should I do for it?

Grants and fellowships for research scholars are given by UGC. If you get admission in JNU for your Ph.D programme then surely you can apply for stipend or fellowship at UGC.

Only after verifying your application you will be granted the stipend by UGC. You must have a good academic record to get it.
