Do I have to handover all my academic certificates to Bank for Education Loan?

Hi everyone, I am preparing for various Engineering entrance exams. I am studying in 12th standard. I am looking to apply for an education loan for my B.Tech study. But I want to know first that I have to give my all academics certificate to the Bank?

Academic certificates don't have much monetary value. Hence, banks won't consider it as collateral or security for any education loan or any kind of loan.

Banks will only ask for collateral or security in the form of property papers or FD or anything which has some monetary value.

You have to submit the following documents to avail an education loan:

Fee schedule
Letter of admission
Completely filled application form
Identity Proof (Driving License/AADHAR/Passport)
Passport size photographs
PAN Card of the student and parent
Proof of residence
Student/Co-borrower bank statement for last 6 months
IT returns / IT assessment of the previous 2 years of parent
Brief statement of assets & liabilities of parent
Proof of income of parent
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
