Yes, you can apply for the scholarship given by the Ministry of Human Resource Department called Central Sector Scholarship Scheme. CBSE sets a cut off every year in terms of percentage of marks in 10+2.

Once the result is declared of CBSE of 10+2, if you satisfy the cut off percentage, the application form you will open. There are 81000 scholarships to be given, Rs 10000 for the non technical courses and Rs 20000 for the technical courses.

Gap year candidates are not eligible.

The Government scholarships are offered for the candidates who wish to pursue higher education and the candidate who is belonging to economically backward category.

The Scholarship offered by MHRD is Central sector scheme of scholarship.

To register for it the candidate must have secured a minimum of 80% marks in class 12 examination.

There are many scholarship schemes offered by the government after 12th standard to study in India as well as in foreign.

For getting government scholarship you must have to fulfill the below given eligibility criteria :

** You must be an Indian citizen.

** You must have to score at least 80 percent in your 12th examinations.

** You must have to pursue your graduation in a well affiliated institute.

After fulfilling the above eligibility criteria you are eligible for the following scholarships :

** Government Scholarship Examinations

** Nationwide Education and Scholarship Test (NEST)

** Uttar Pradesh Government scholarship

** Indian Oil Academic IOCL Scholarships

** Pre Metric Scholarship Scheme For Students Belonging To Minority Communities

** Post Metric Scholarship Scheme For Students Belonging To Minority Communities

Yes there is CSSS scholarship by the CBSE for the meritorious students who have performed well in the board examination.

The candidates who have scored above the cut off marks as released by the CBSE after the result declaration can apply for the scholarship.

The gap year students are not eligible to apply for the scholarship as it is only for those students who have performed well in the board examination and are pursuing the graduation course.
