Well I get expect at least 128 out of 200 in WBJEE can get you into TOP 100.

However, this score is not static, it is dynamic so just an average guess in 128 out of 200/

What do you think, what would be that score according to your understanding?

Ye you can expect BESU.

That's because if someone is scoring 110-120 that means his/her rank would be within 1,000 and with it the candidate can expect BESU, Heritage, IEM like institutes, Bengal Institute of Technology etc. which are among the TOP institutes of west bengal.

St Xaviers is a good college. Go for BSc. There are lot of engineers nowadays.The engineers from the government engineering college are most likely to get placement. These private engineering colleges doesn't guarantee so . So better go for BSc as you have good marks in ISC. BEST OF LUCK

who told you that only government colleges give placement and private colleges dont.. you dumbhead you know nothing..you mean only IIT's and NIT's give placements...??????the value of a B.Tech degree is more than a ordinary B.sc degree. dont go for st.xaviers and if you wana take admission go outside kolkata ..there is no scope inside WB.drop one year and prepare for next year... good luck ....

No dear you can not expect either BESU or Kalyani through you WBJEE rank. Atleast a rank within 800 is required for getting in.


And one Important thing is that BESU do not except AIEEE score. Admission is truely based on WBJEE. But according to latest news caoming is that soon BESU will be promoted to IIEST (Indian Institute of Engineering,Science and Technology) means an NIT and then the whole admission will be based on AIEEE and at that time WBJEE will not be of any use.

However, you can expect Kalyani through your AIEEE rank, only if your state rank is within 500. And as you say your AIR is 44,522 I can expect your state rank within 500. However even if your state rank is crossing nothing to worry still there is hope.

Dont worry just appear for WBJEE + AIEEE joint councelling which has been scheduled to held on 3 july in Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Govt. colleges west bengal are JU,BESU,jalpaiguri,kalyni,

out of these colleges JU & BESU closes around wbjee rank 800.

if u opt for jalpaiguri ,kalyani or any other college than u should have rank below 2500 wbjee all india rank.

Dear the following are the last years cutoff

Jadavpur University:1-500 (However,last year closing rank was 365 in construction engineering).

Bengal Engineering and Science University (BESU):Rank in WBJEE- 1-800.(However,last year closing rank was 637).

Kalyani Government Engineering college:1-750.

Jalpaiguri Government Engineering college:1-3,000 (IAF also conducts campusing here Under Fast Track entry Scheme).

i think you can get a good goverment colleges if you get more than 125

Yes,with that score you can definetly get admitted in kalyani and jalpaiguri.Jadavpur and besu may also be taking you in some of the streams.

It depends on which stream you choose. Still a rank below 2000 makes a definite chance of getting admitted in JU.

hey friend if you have scored more than 60% then you will get admission in the GOVT ENGINEERING COLLEGES very easily.........and if you are a defense person son/daughter then you may apply through defence quota so that if you have not score well even after that you you have the chance of getting it through reserved quota........

Well, even being a SC/ST candidate score of 5770 is not very much good Rank, but enough to get good branch in Good institute.


Councelling is going on in Saltlake Stadium, just go and appear for it Councelling for SC/ST candidate will take place till 10th-12th of July.


Dont worry you can expect some good colleges like- Seacom Group, Future Group, Pailan Group etc.........

hello dear,it is not possiable to say exactly.as it varies year to year.

1.averagely to chance in the reputated govt college(like jadavpur university,shibpur university,kolyani university) you have score 150 to 175.
2.to get chance in the other govt college you have to score 110to 140.

Sorry dear you can not expect even a seat in Kalyani.

For getting into Kalyani you have required a rank at least within 800 in WBJEE.

Yes more or less..........!

Seacom has benchmarked by his Marine Engineering, courses like ECE, CSE etc are added much later.

But yes now Seacom Group has emerged as oe of the best private engineering colleges of Bengal.

Cant provide exact statics, but I think its last year placement was 69%.
