You need to get Regular / Distance mode Graduate. which should most valuable and worth full. Not One year Degree

Civil Service examination is conducted every year by UPSC(union public service commission.
1. preliminary examination-conducted during the second half of may.
after qualifying preliminary examinaation, you need to appear for
2. main examination- conducted during the month of oct/nov
3. interview (for those who passed the main examination)

eligibility: 1. degree from a recognised university
2. age limit: min max
general- 21yrs. 30 yrs.
obc - 21 yrs 33 yrs.
sc/st - 21 yrs. 35 yrs.

attempts: general- 4
obc - 7
sc/st - no limit

After getting selected for IPS you will be under a probation period as an SP of a district in any state in which you have been allocated.
after the probation period of two years, you will be confirmed as a district superintendent of police which in cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore are known as ACP.

If you want o join Indian Police Service(I.P.S) then you have to qualify the Civil Services Exam..

Civil Services Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year..

In this exam all the candidate who pass the graduation with any stream are eligible for this exam..

The age limit for Open category is 21-30 year.. For ST/SC for age limit i 21-27 year and for O.B.C is 21-33 year...

There are 4 stage of selection:-
> Prelims Exam
> Mains Exam
> Interview
> Medical Exam..

For this your partime diploma with your study you can try to doing from open universities like
IGNOU.
NAlanda open university.
Rajshree tondon open university.
and some other universities which is open in india. To get admission you have 10+2 passed & satisfied the university requirements which is given in prospectus.
This has some course fee for your Study material which is proved by post or courier.
They have some class for problem of students.
So visit your study centre or web site for eligibility criteria.

To become IPS examination a candidate must have to qualify civil service examination which conducts by UPSC union public service commission each year to eligible in it a candidate must have to satisfy eligibility criteria as graduation from a recognized university and age limit differs according to quota of a candidate
You can collect form from post office or download it from UPSC official website

Yes,you can join for IPS exam as any Graduate from a recognised university or a college in India is the minimum eligibility criteria for IPS.
He/She should be 21years to 30 yrs of age at the time of appearing in the UPSC held Civil Services Examination.

UPSC conduct CIVILSERVICE exam for top service like IAS,IPS,IFS and for other government jobs.Even this year onwards the pattern of exam also changed as it doesnot have any special subject and the paper will be same for all the candidates.
