Dear friend,
yes you are eligible but for placement in government companies like NTPC and BHEL you have to give GATE. Because now they are selecting on the basis of GATE score.

C.G.P.A.

C.G.P.A is Cumulative Grade Point Average and is calculated by dividing the sum total grade points in all subjects by no. of subjects.

Percentage score of CGPA= 9.5 x CGPA

The minimum CGPA requirement to get a good job is 6 to 7. If you get 9 or 10 CGPA then companies will select you without any hesitation.

Hi everyone:).
I am a final sem BE mechanical engineering student from Gauhati University.
I scored 77.33 in 10th from state board (which is tougher than CBSE)
And due to some medical conditions I scored only 55.5% in 10 2 :'(

In BE I have 67% till 6th sem (7th and 8th sem carries more marks to the final marksheet so expecting 70 % on the final marksheet)

So am I eligible for PSUs if I crack GATE next year.
Or am I eligible for L&T, maruti suzuki, TaTa, Jindal etc?

I've good basic knowledge on every topic I studied ...

I am doing my third year in B.E. Civil Engineering in 2017. I have a CGPA of 7.17. I will be having placements in final year 7th semester. I wanted to get placed in Saint gobain in Chennai. I wanted to know whether this cgpa will be enough for entering into core companies. So please do help me.
