As your Brother rank was very far for getting admission in NIT's.
So you have to try for Private colleges.

speaking directly...there's no chance of getting anything in any NIT.
NIT's close within 30,000 air,you can try in private colleges in your state through management quota..

Sorry ,you are not eligible for AIEEE counselling because your rank is low so donot worry you take admission direct .List of colleges for civil Enginnering :-

As per my knowledge and with a very high rank , your brother cannot get into IIT or NIT.

You can look for the following colleges instead.

i got air 198000 and 55000 in obc through aieee which cllg can i get and what about dit (dehradun istitute of technology)

Hi dear,

as per your AIEEE rank he will not be able to get admission in any NIT of the country.

but there are many state universities those offer admission to the students as per their aieee rank.

u can attend the counselling of the state universities and i think u will definitely get admission as per your rank.

like WBUT offers admission to the students through aieee rank only for 10% seats of every stream.

I think its hard to get any NIT college. but i will suggest you will go for the counselling conducted by the different state technical university. there you can easily get any civil engg. branch . So my suggestion is that you should go for that and remember in counselling you should fill the colleges carefully according to their placement status.

Getting into NIT is difficult because everyone wants admission there and there are only few NIT'S and for this the rank should be below 50,000.
But still you opt for good colleges in your state and you will easily get the CIVIL engg.
Its depends on you that which college you want and which college is on top in your state.
You can even contact with your friends who are in that colleges.

Its a bit tough to get a course on the basis of your AIEEE rank. Maybe you can try for civil engineering with your state CET rank

So give it a try and see what you get in AIEEE 3rd counseling

hello dear,
Well since his AIR is 1,96,000 under general category that means you are not able to get through Councelling.

So, in that case and also because of your rank you wont get seat in Civil Engineering directly.

Also because not all institutes have Civil branch, besides this few seats are available in India for Civil Engineering as compared to other branches. And since Civil Engineering market is booming demand of civil engieers in India and Gulf are just booming.


So, in that case you have to opt for Management Quota, and at present the Civil market situation it will cost much, I can expect 1 Lacs per annum.

Better go to Bangalore there it will be easy to find admisssion.

AS you have mention about the rank 1,96,000 then your brother is not eligible for counseling , in my opinion prepare for next year .
