you can get btech admission after diploma in IT.

to get admission btech in IT, you have qualify a exam which is known as JELET(joint entrance lateral examination test).

you can appear in JETET exam after you diploma course.

but one things you should remember, through JELET you can't get chance in IITs.

You can directly apply for btech in the college and you will get admission through LEET i.e lateral entry and you will get admitted to 2nd year.

do the students admitted to 3rd semester through lateral entry in ggsipu will have to give the exams of 1st year subjects

After completing your diploma in IT you are eligible to take admission in B.Tech second year through lateral entry process conducted by state board technical university of by the exam conducted by the college or university itself.

You should be having 65% in the final year of diploma to get a good college for B.Tech.

Since you had completed your Diploma in IT,so you will be allowed to take CSE or IT in B.Tech,it depends upon your choice whether you want to continue with IT or shift to CSE.For getting admission on B.Tech on the basis of Diploma,you must have completed your Diploma from a recognized College with at least 60% marks with no backlogs left.
