there is no procedure through which you can apply online to join in indian army. but you may download application form from the internet online. and you may apply using this application form by offline. you will get the application form from their official recruitment website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in

from here you will also get all the information regarding join into indian army in various post.
Since you are a engineering student so it would be better you should apply for the University Examination in which the officers of defense will come to a center where they organized the exam of UES and you can directly apply at that center.

But if you are interested in Airman in Indian air force then you can get the forum for this through the official web site of Indian Air force. I have also attached one application form for the Airman with this forum.

Eligibility Criteria :

You should pass the 12th standard in any discipline from a university.
Your age must be minimum 18 years at the time of registration.

since you are engineering student it would you better to apply for the university examination in which of the officers of the defence will come to centre where they organize the exams of ues and you can directly apply the center.

You join in Indian Air Force by appear NDA exam/CDS exam.Both exam are conducted by UPSC every year twice.Both exam as same motive to take qualified student to different services like
>>Indian Air Force
>>Indian Navy
>>Indian Army

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam:
Education qualification:
For Indian Air Force/Indian Navy:You should have complete 12th class with PCM stream from a recognized university with 55% marks.
For Indian Army:You should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university.
Age Limit:
Age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.

Eligibility criteria for CDS exam:
Educational Qualifications:
For IMA /OTA : A degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Naval Academy: B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering.
For Air Force Academy: B.Sc. of a recognized University or equivalent with Physics and/or Mathematics as subjects or Bachelor of Engineering.
Age limit:
For IMA: Unmarried male candidates between 19-24 years
For Naval Academy: Unmarried male candidates between 19-22 years
For Air Force Academy: Unmarried male candidates between 19-23 years For Officers Training Academy: Male candidates (married or unmarried) between 19-25 years

Exam will held on 12th Feb 2012.
CDS-II exam:

NDA-I exam :

you can get job in air force after your graduation.currently they have given no notification.
The email ID for which you have to mail your resume will be given along with the notification.

women can join in IAF as an officer irresepective of branch.For that you have to wait for the notification of the posts and then you have to send email describing your branch,interests etc,
Then they will short list and select with the selecting applicants considering need,then like qualities of body fitness and medical tests,then shortlist the candidates.
