The Qualifications Required to become a Loco Pilot are mentioned below :

* you must have passed 10th as your minimum educational qualification from any recognized board.

* you must have completed ITI from any of the trades like Mechanics, Electronics, etc.

* Your age must lie in between 18-30 years.

* There is also a relaxation in upper age provided to Reserved Category candidates as per Govt. rules.

Hello Dear,

To get loco pilot post in the Railway you have to write RRB(railway recruitment Board) exam.

Eligibility for Loco Pilot:

Candidate should have 10th passed
candidate must be complete ITI course in any stream or diploma degree in mechanical/automobile/eletrical or electronics

The age limit is 18-30 years
relaxation is provided as per government rules
3 for OBC
5 for Sc/St

Qualification required to become a Loco Pilot through Railway Recruitment Board exam.These are :

• You will require a Intermediate/12th Pass out degree in any discipline from recognized board/university.

Thus if you have not completed your class 12th education then you will have to take admission in +2 course in any recognized college/School from where you can do this course.If you are interested to go school/College and you are interested to do this course through Distance Learning then you will have to take admission in +2 course from NIOS.

• Another educational qualification required to apply for Loco Pilot RRB Exam you should have an ITI degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics stream from recognized technical board.
• Your ITI degree should also be recognized from SCVT/NCVT.

Minimum age required to apply for RRB Loco Pilot Exam,your minimum age should be between 18 years to 30 years.You will also able to get relaxation facility if you comes under Reserved category candidates.SC/ST category candidates 5 years of age relaxations and OBC candidates will get 3 years of age relaxations.


The Selection process of Loco Pilot :

1. Written Exam (Objective Type).
2. Personal Interview and Document Verification.

Information of Written Exam :

• Exam will consists of 120 questions of Multiple type choice.
• Total duration of this exam will be of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
• This exam will consists questions from General Awareness,Arithmetic Reasoning,General English and General Knowledge.
