I think you should be aware for this section,dont depent on those TV,news paper or others,you can follow some books like,GMAT,CAt standard...

If you want to prepare for general awareness for bank exam then i advise you to read the monthly general knowledge magzine. It is best for the general awareness knowledge.

Dear friend

General awerness is the most important section and difficult also in BANK PO exams.
Generally 50 to 75 questions are asked in every PO exam.
Some of questions are related to BANK terms like Repo rate,reverse repo rate etc.
Some of the questions are related to games like hockey,cricket etc.
Some of the questions are related to writers/author of books,awards,prizes etc.

So this type of questions are asked in po exams.
To crack this you have to read daily newspaper carefully.
Also read the Pratiyogita Darpan book of evry month.You will get lots of help from this book.

for general awareness,In my opinion you should join mock test online,read news paper,and also read magazines,previous year paper.

if you are prepared for bank exam ,first you have to clear your basics in maths and in english ,also solved previous bank exam papers ,it helps you and and most important solved everypaper with the time that given in banks exam

Read newspapers regularly. Subscribe to a good magazine which publishes general awareness and latest general knowledge questions as well as the solved papers of relevant exams regularly. Competition Success review/General Knowledge Today are such magazines . Write if you are interested in receiving regular updates on Gen Awareness questions.

As to prepare for bank exam and improve your general awareness you have to read newspaper daily. Most of the questions will be asked from daily news. It is the best way to get scaled up in the GK section. Another equally important thing is to listen to the daily news on any channel of your choice, preferably in English. This will help you to improve you GK along with developing the power to grasp words quickly. You must read lots of General knowledge and awareness books. Internet is another source from where you can get information about current affairs, sports and also historical GK. There are many websites which offer quizzes and games which will also improve your knowledge in that subject.
