subject: 05 tips to improve the way you speak English

i. Observe the mouth movements of those who speak English well and try to imitate them.

When you are watching television, observe the mouth movements of the speakers. Repeat what they are saying, while imitating the intonation and rhythm of their speech.

ii. Until you learn the correct intonation and rhythm of English, slow your speech down.

If you speak too quickly, and with the wrong intonation and rhythm, native speakers will have a hard time understanding you.

Don't worry about your listener getting impatient with your slow speech -- it is more important that everything you say be understood.

iii. Listen to the 'music' of English.

Do not use the 'music' of your native language when you speak English. Each language has its own way of 'singing'.

iv. Use the dictionary.

Try and familiarise yourself with the phonetic symbols of your dictionary. Look up the correct pronunciation of words that are hard for you to say.

v. Make a list of frequently used words that you find difficult to pronounce and ask someone who speaks the language well to pronounce them for you.

Record these words, listen to them and practice saying them. Listen and read at the same time.

i have given the exam of b-com 2nd year (corrospondence). i have passed diploma in computer operator & programming assistant from govt. I.T.I. securing 84% marks in 2010.
and i have secrued 74% in 12th.

and suddenly i have admitted in draughtsman civil in govt. I..T.I. delhi.


please tell me what would i do

I think this forum is quite new and it is gaining its popularity slowly and slowly.
This forum is providing answers to all our questions.
It is quite nice that it is providing scholarship for 30 members.
I don't know much about tafp but i think it will help the needful.

As I am a new member I don't know much about the moderators.
but still I think they are trying their level best

Sir,I did MBA,i want to go as a government employee. May i know the date of TNPSC exam will be held on..? Where should i apply for this exam.?

You should Keep one account number section in the registration process because sending Checks by speed post is very hard job and it will get easier(using Online money transfer) and Even it will become very fast. Top 30 will get Money very soon they don't have to wait 30 days for one session ends.

First of all I appreciate your idea of creating this thread and giving scholarships to people. This is a good way of sharing knowledge and helping others who are in bad need of very important information regarding their career.

I have a small suggestion.

Few questions asked by people in the month of april may etc are still there and these questions include clarifications regarding their chances of getting a seat in a college based on their GATE or IIT JEE rank...Now there is no use of keeping such question...So I hope you see that these questions are deleted from the thread...
I hope you will take this suggestion in a positive way.

This forum is very good and this is a new concept.i think this is a good platform to solve queries and get rewards you should change some facts as follows:-
1.Divide the Answer quality in grade A,B,C,D,E
2.Finally according to the grade provide the marks
3.if the quality of the answer is so bad or useless than you should deduct the marks.
4.if quality is so good than you shoul give some extra points
it avoids useless answer
5.TAFP is very good the member whose quality is high got the rank in tafp.
6.launch some more plans as TAFP.

Respected Admin sir i have some idea about the TAFP member. I think that you and all the member will like it.

->GOLD TAFP MEMBER (who have completed 2 years membership as the TAFP with good performance.) :- Give Rs. 300/ month + TAFP Stipend + General Scholarship.

->SILVER TAFP MEMBER (Who have completed 1 year membership as the TAFP with good performance.) :- Give 100/month + TAFP Stipend + General Scholarship.

->TAFP MEMBER (as before...) :- TAFP stipend + General Scholarship.

sir i already given cet2011 am going to write cet2012 can i get application form online as am a karnataka resident

I would like the checking frequency a little more so that it would enable us also to know what is lagging in our answer.
I WOULD BE very grateful if the marks for each question answered can be disclosed to the person answering.

This forum is totally a new concept and is gaining popularity day by day .the best thing about this forum is it keep changing its structure(not basic).it is providing scholarships upto 30 members now and is expected to increase to 40 which will add some extra advantage to it.
i don't know much about super tafp but i think this concept can really be helpful .

i think some senior member++ are playing just for winning the scholarship and posting wrong answers which is really rubbish. administrator should penalize such members heavily because the concept of this forum is to help the students .

Well, I think it is very nice of you that you gave your users a chance of improving yourself.
I think that following steps can increase user satisfaction to 101% :
1) You must allow users to customize their forum themes as visuals play a very important role in creating minds of learners.
2) You should also introduce new languages as I have myself seen many of my friends who can't use this website because it's not available in their languages.
3) You should also not forget the feature of chatting with online users as it speeds up the level of discussion and also enables learners to communicate in a convenient way.

let me tell you that how could you improve your english....? firstly, as u know that it is not our mother tongue so obviously its not an easy task it will give your time and you would have to given your time to it if you want to be good in english speaking....
so now i m going to tell you that why one cannot speak english fluently? actually we always use to take shy and hesitation as well.....we may think that when we speak english in front of some one ...oh.....he will be thinking that we r making efficiency and trying to over smart...hey man never think so....these are the negative points which creates trouble to make up your deficiency in english....just ignore all these things from your mind......always be confident ,be bold and be polite

sure english will be better and your morale automatically will go to at its high peak....always sit in that company in which your companions may also be desperate like you to learn english .....and have conversation with each other daily about 2 hours.......improve your vocabulary and remember my words vocabulary is the heart of english speaking or u may say it as a backbone of english......
and i get you remember one thing more that trying to read newspapers and watch english movies and english news it would efficient your listening power ....so dear friend plz try to understand my feeling and emotions and must try to act on it.....u must achive your cherished goal....so take care ...
