U have more scope in Marketing or HR sector than in Banking sector. Even if u apply for jobs in banks, u may be posted for Marketing their various products or in HR department, So i would suggest dont bind urself only to banks look for various career aspects in other sectors also.

you should definately try to get an job in banks like city bank and hdfc.

Most of the public and private sector banks conduct examination to select qualified candidate in to the post of probationary officer, clerk and managerial trainee. A candidate with MBA in marketing can surely apply for these posts. Make sure to prepare yourself for the exams by attending coaching classes or through self-study, as there is high level of competition even from other professionals like engineers and doctors who are trying out for banking job.

since you are post graduate you should do job also.
As far as preparation for bank exam is concerned you don't have time limit that when will you succeed.
So if you have time and money go for bank exams.
As banking sector jobs are always attractive.

After MBA in marketing and HR you can get job in any bank (ICICI,HDFC,SBI,PNB,etc.) in their marketing and HR department or you can also apply for the post of assistant manager or manager. for the vacancies you should go for employment news paper..all the best..

its a growth sector.But you should look at opportunities outside as banks prefer young people in the system

is it possible to get a job or make a career in banking sector:? how to get started and prepare for it?: i am a graduate in bsc-it and have two years of experience in international call centres. i am not interested in it and due to financial issues, wont be able to opt for MBA. Absolutely you are eligible to appear for Bank's Probationary Officers (PO) recruitment examinations conducted by various nationalised private or government sector banks.

For most of the PO recruitment examination, the candidate must have a graduation or post graduation degree from a recognised University approved by government of India and also having 60% marks.
