Is there any ways by which we can change our streams in VIT??

I got admisssion to CAD/CAM in VIT chennai campus ; But am still having a doubt about the campus
since the first batch in Mtech is yet to be out
Can someone guide me

The placement of vellore or chennai campus is same for mtech.is the vellore or chennai campus placement takes same together or not?

i got mtech in cse at VIT vellore.Iam from ECE background.I know C,C . Can i perform well at my mtech level with ECE background ?

Recently my brother is placed in a well known car manufacturing company of monthly around 50000
but vit vellore is well establised than chennai

placements are very good in VIT chennai. Since i am a student of VIT chennai. 100% placement is recorded for the 1st batch.And for CSE more than 90% of the students are placed above 5 lkhs per annum better than VIT Vellore

I will get seat in VIT-CHENNAI and SRM -VADAPALANI ....which is a better college and good placements

I have secured 6856 rank in vitee 2014 in which branch I can get admission?

campus is gud and placement will also be gud bcoz they have to make the name for future
at your rank you can get every branch in vellore except cs and may be mechanical also .
and in chennai u can get any branch. last year cs got filled by 7500 and mechanical got filled by 10500 so ur chances for mechanical will be 50 50.

Can some one tell about VIT Chennai for M.Tech in Communication Engg ?? Heard 2014 will be the second batch for this subject. Is there a high possibility to get placed in core and also get an internship??
What are the other plus points for M.Tech in VIT Vellore in comparison with Chennai??

2. I also got admission in SRM -Kattankulathur campus.Please tell me which one to choose.

I am at present a vit chennai campus student.My seniors have already been placed in top companies.And i think chennai campus is far better than vellore campus because here the entire focus is on studies and career.And it depends on our talent to get a placement.It's really my luck to be in chennai campus which i had opted between the two campuses on others' suggestions.
And vit is doing its job earnestly through its run really making it -A place to learn,A chance to grow.

On the basis of all the criterias mentioned above, it can be easily said that VIT Chennai is NOT a good institute. The main reason for which is that the university is new and is yet to establish itself properly.

The student quality in VIT Chennai is not as good as most aspirants are apprehensive on joining a new university, irrespective that it is a branch of a well known college VIT. the cut off for admission in VIT is also pretty low as compared to Vellore

coming to the faculty, the students themselves are not giving good feedback about the teachers and their quality. The placements are not as good because of the average quality of students.

The infrastructure is good and pleasing but that is that matters least in the priority list. That is just a way to lure students to join their college.

On the other hand, SRM is a well established university, was rated the best private university in 2011 so its always a safer bet. It is known for its placemtnts and quality of students are good as well.

Dude! First of all, the first batch was placed in 2013. U posted this in 2012 and said the placements are not as good. Dafuq? And mind it, seeing it was the first lot of placements, it was pretty decent, better than many colleges. The placement this year has also been going remarkably well!
About the faculty! Every college has some good and bad professors. Agreed!
But VIT Chennai has a long list of qualified and able professors. And once you get aware of the diversity of students in this college, u'll get to know their standards as well!

I am currently a student on VIT-Chennai. The college is two years old, and hence the questions of placement does not arrive as it is yet to begin for the first batch. Also, studdents here are quite better as compared to Vellore, as there are a certain % of managent quota (full fee quota) who come without any ranks. In that terms, VIT chennai accepts students only on basis of ranks and nothing else.

It has a good study atmosphere will all facilities.

And for all those who think its not recognised, VIT Chennai students are getting degree of Vellore itself. So there is absolutely no problem in that.

Many of my relatives in Tamil Nadu are giving negative feedback about the discipline level in VIT Vellore campus.They speak volumes of stories about drug addiction and abortion cases in VIT Vellore campus.I desperately wants to know is there any truth in these rumours as my daughter is very much interested in joining VIT Vellore..plz share it opinion
