Re: Eligibility criteria for SBI bank PO examination?
The SBI stands for the State Bank of India. It is presently the largest bank in India with maximum number of branches that are also located in various countries. However once the Post Office receives the banking licence, it will have the maximum number of branches surpassing State Bank of India.
State Bank of India is one of the public sector banks in India. This bank prefers to conduct its own entrance exam which is quite different from other PSU banks. Majority of other public sector banks rely on the 40 years old institute known as Institute of Banking Personnel Services to conduct the entrance exam. But not State Bank of India. Now coming to your question. Only the marks in graduation will be considered when applying for the SBI Bank PO. Luckily your marks are sufficient enough to apply for the Bank PO exam by the State Bank of India. What you have scored in 12th standard is not an issue. SBI Bank PO Eligibility 1. SBI exam can be given by Indian citizens only. 2. You should hold a valid graduation degree. 3. Minimum of 65 percent marks in it. 4. 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST. 5. The candidate should have basic computer operating skills. 6. Age limit is 21 to 30 years for the exam. 7. Up to 3 years relaxation in upper age limit for OBC. 8. The relaxation is 5 years for SC and ST. Exam Pattern English language - 50 marks General awareness, Marketing and computers - 50 marks Data analysis and interpretation - 50 marks Reasoning - 50 marks Selection Procedure 1. Written Test 2. Group Discussion & Interview 3. Final Selection |
