I came to Bangalore in 2003 from Andhra Pradesh. I married in 2005. Now my wife want to give KCET exam. Is she eligible for local Quota?

I am a karnataka state student and also a kannadiga, I have studied till 10th std in

State board syllabubs in Bangalore.


I went to Singapore under global international school scholarship program for studying

11th and 12th std. in CBSE syllabus.

Now I am studying in 12 th std. in Singapore.

I am interested to take Karnataka CET 2011.

Am I eligible take Karnataka CET? Please Guide me.

I planned to shift to bangalore on job change. My son completed studies from class 3 to class 8 in Andhra Preadsh in KV. From 9th to 12 th Standard I planned to shift him to any KV at bangalore.

Is my soon eligibale as local candidate for Andhra eamcet medical? I am basically from Andhra Pradesh since my birth.

The eligibility criteria of CET exam in karnataka.
The candidate must be passed in education qualified government of karnataka.
The candidate should be passed in 7th standard. So dont worry.

[/SIZE][/SIZE][SIZE=4][SIZE=4]The applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study
Should have obtained a minimum of 50% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects, irrespective of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test. In case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes (Category-1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

Qualification Criteria Karnataka CET:

Admission Criteria For Engineering / Technology courses:


1.) The Karnataka CET applicant should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC / 12th Std. or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects.


2.) He should secure a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination irrespective of the common entrance test. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes should score minimum of 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects.

Every candidates must satisfy Karnataka CET eligibility criteria for engineering, architecure, medical/dental courses to be part of Karnataka CET entrance test every year.

Important Dates KCET Admission Test:

KCET Test dates: in the month of April & May each year

Last date for availability of application forms from schools/colleges: March 2012.

KCET Entrance result Notification: In the month of June each year

KCET - Karnataka Common Entrance Test
The following eligibility criteria are required for KCET, then you can apply for KCET :

~> For Engineering :
You should have passed 12th or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Mathematics and the subjects Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Biology with a minimum of 45 % aggregate marks in option subjects ( for SC/ST/OBC - 40 %).

~> For Architecture :
You should have passed 12th or equivalent examination with Mathematics with a minimum of 50 %
aggregate marks in all subjects. ( for ST/SC/OBC - 45 %).
> You should have also appeared in NATA and got a minimum of 40 % marks in it.

~> For Medical / Dental :
You should have passed 12th or equivalent examingation with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. (for SC/ST/OBC - 40 %)

> Those who are appearing in the 12th exams can also apply.

> You should have attained the age of 17 years but not more than 25 years as on 31st december.
