You have not given the details of your basic qualification. The main eligibility criterion is to complete Masters Degree in biotech. You can even have masters degree in any other relevant field. Once you complete your Ph.D you are definitely eligible for teaching jobs. You can even try in drug and pharmaceutical industry, chemical, food processing & bio processing industries
