# ISRO stands for Indian Space Research Organization.
# There are two ways by which one can join ISRO which are mentioned below: * by pursuing the 4 years B.Tech. degree course from Indian Institute of Space Technology (IIST). * by appearing in the competitive examination conducted for the posts of scientist/engineer by ISRO every year. # Admission of the candidate in the four years B. Tech degree course in Indian Institute of Space Science Technology (IIST) generally based on following weightage: * 60% marks in JEE (mains) are taken into account. * 40% marks in 10+2 are taken into account. # Following four years B.Tech. degree courses are available in the Indian Institute of Space Science Technology (IIST): * Approx. 60 seats of B. Tech (Aerospace) are available. * Approx. 60 seats of B. Tech (Avionics) are available. * Approx. 60 seats of B. Tech (Physical Science) are available. # It is mandatory for every selected candidate for the four years B. Tech. degree course to sign a bond with the ISRO for at least five years of work in ISRO after successful completion of B. Tech. course. # Second option before the candidate to go for open competitive examination conducted by ISRO for engineering graduates or B.Tech. degree holders or B.Sc. (Physics & Mathematics). The above said competitive examination generally held in the month of April of every year. # Eligible and interested candidate should have submit the application form online in the official website of ISRO. # The required educational qualification and other eligibility conditions for above said competitive examination for the posts of scientist/engineer are mentioned below: * Candidate must be permanent resident of India. * Must possess any engineering degree or B.Tech. degree or B.Sc in subjects Physics and Mathematics. * Candidate should have excellent academic record. It is required that candidate should have obtained minimum 60% marks from intermediate to graduation level consistently. * However, students in the final year of bachelor degree level are also provisionally eligible. * Age of the candidate must below the age of 35 years. * Candidates belonging to SC and ST category can availed the benefit of relaxation in upper age as per Government rules. # One should visit the followings websites for most detailed information: * www.iist.in * www.isro.org * www.isro.gov.in |
