ISRO stands for Indian Space Research Organisation which is a government organisation,
concerned with research and development technologies related with space and its science.

The Department of Space, Govt. of India has established
Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (or IIST) for studies
related to space sciences. The institute offers courses in Aerospace Engineering,
Avionics and Physical Sciences.

The IIST conducts its separate entrance examination (namely, ISAT) for admission to
these courses.

One can apply for the ISAT in the year of appearing 12th board exams
and/or in the immediate next year after your boards.

Also, you should have at least 70% marks in aggregate 10th and 12th (Physics, Chemistry
and Mathematics).

If you get admission in IIST then after completion of course, you will be directly abosorbed
in ISRO.

what are the number of seats in isro?

ISRO stands for Indian Space Research Organization.

You cannot join ISRO with your class 12 result. You have to get a B.Tech degree first.

A B.Tech student with 65% marks can apply to work in this organization.

Your minimum age should be minimum 35 years to apply for the ISRO entrance exam.

The proper syllabus of this examination is never given. But to gain some knowledge about the question pattern you can go through the papers attached.

For this first of all you will have to give ISAT exam for admission in Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology. It consist of objective type questions only from Physics , Mathematics and Chemistry.

The application procedure starts in November and the exam is conducted in April.

Eligibility Criteria for ISAT exam 2013

Nationality

The candidate must be a citizen of India

Age limit

The General and OBC candidates must not be more than 24 years of age and SC, ST and PD candidates must not be more than 29 years of age.

Educational qualification

-the General and OBC candidates must have secured a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in 10th and SC, ST and PD candidates must have secured 60% aggregate marks in 10th

-the General and OBC candidates must have secured a minimum of 70% aggregate marks in 12th with PCM and SC, ST and PD candidates must have secured 60% aggregate marks in 12th with PCM.

After completing Btech from IIST you can join ISRO

One another option for you is to complete Btech from any college with minimum 65% marks and then give an exam for ISRO

After qualifying that exam you will be called for an interview.

Those candidates who qualify the Gate with good marks can directly be called for interview without the need of giving any written exam.

The age of the candidate must not be more than 35 years. A relaxation of 3 years in this limit is given to OBC candidates and 5 years to SC/ST candidates

getting an admission in ISRO just after 12th is difficult because they employ the students who have done graduation in something regarding space like aeronautical engineering. One should be like a scientist and if you want to go in ISRO show out your scientific attitude to the whole world, your desire will then get fulfilled but definitely become a graduate first
