Hello........I feel that you should be thinking about marine engineering only if you are interested in Merchant navy because the scope of marine engineering is fairly low.It is better to do mechanical engineering because then you can go in merchant navy as well as you can apply for many mechanical engineering fields.
If you want to go ahead with marine engineering then you can write MHT-CET or you can apply in Andhra university. There are anumber of institutions offering marine engineering but the best would be MERI, Kolkata. You'll need to appear in IMUCET for engineeing course and then based on your ranks you'll get the college. If you are looking for private colleges then Samundra institute of maritime studies and tolani maritime institute are excellent. You have to write their exam separately and also qualify IMUCET. In marine engineering you might have to spend around 10 lakhs but once you join merchant navy i am sure you'll cover up that money in a fairly less time. ALL THE BEST. |
